The celebrated French artist Boris Tchoubanoff, winner of the Salon Des Artists Francais prize at the Salon d’ Automne in 1997 is known for his drawing skill and romantic style of painting known as “Romantic Impressionism”.<\/p>\n

He and his family (his wife a descendant of the famous Russian composer, Rimsky-Korsakoff) live near Paris. Like so many artists, the boulevards and parks of the French capital are a great source of inspiration. He finds other subjects on his travels, the Cote d’ Azure, the coast of Normandy and the Italian landscapes on to glowing canvases.<\/p>\n

The work of Tchoubanoff is in a number of prestigious private collections including, amongst others, the Monaco Royal family and Mstislav Rostropovitch. His work has been exhibited in the UK, Chicago, New York, France, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, and most recently New Orleans.<\/p>\n

Two paintings by Tchoubanoff were chosen for a major exhibition at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg in May 1998.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
